Hello Everyone,

I don't know about you, but I am excited about the coming of summer in 2013. It has been a long cold winter here in Pennsylvania, and the warm sunshine is great for the body, soul and spirit. We continue to see good things happen at Living Stone- and we have much to look forward to! God is so good, and He is continually at work in us- even when we don't realize it!

Let me encourage you, whether you are a part of Living Stone or not, that endurance is so very important in the Christian life. We are on a journey, heading to heaven. On this journey there are going to be ups and downs, good times and bad, times of victory and times of defeat. But on this journey we can take great comfort in the fact that Jesus is leading us along the way. Never give up! He will give you all you need to make it in this life. 

"But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place. For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing." - II Corinthians 2:14-16 NASB

Our world seems to be spinning out of control. this is just a small sampling of the troubling events of our generation. Need we speak of North Korea, China, the US economy, the tragedy in Japan and even the cost of milk ?.....In my news reading I even came across this headline:

Man dressed in a cow costume steals 26 gallons of milk from a grocery store! 

As funny as that last story sounds it is a creative way to sin! This world is unraveling under a blanket of sin! The Word of God tells us that in the last days things will wax worse and worse. The world will be thrown into chaos- and it's all because of man's overall failure to submit to God and His ways, Satan to, has his plan, desiring to be followed and worshipped- He is behind the governments of the world who are sending us at break-neck speed to the edge of collapse! If you are like me and my family, we all have concerns about these things, making ends meet, and holding back the tide of ungodliness. It seems that events are leading us to a life that we have never experienced before. The Holy Spirit led Peter to write the following words for our encouragement and instruction in light of these events.

"The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear minded and self-controlled so you can pray. Above all love each other deeply, because love covers a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms". I Peter 4:7-10

God is in control beloved of God- no matter the circumstances, Be self controlled and clear minded! Love God. Love each other forgive and extend the grace of God to all. The time is short. Will you do it?
